In his fine art sculpture, clay and wax studies are developed from direct observation of the live model. These maquettes can range from highly detailed studies carefully developed at a medium scale, to small, gestural studies fashioned spontaneously in the moment.
Once fully developed, these handmade models can be remade at any scale, either by hand or by digital machine. Enlarged models can be subsequently cast in bronze or cement, or carved in wood or stone.
